Lash Lifts and Brow Laminations: The Ultimate Guide to Perfect Brows and Lashes at Queen B London
In the ever-evolving world of beauty, lash lifts and brow laminations have taken the industry by storm. These treatments offer a stunning, low-maintenance alternative to traditional lash extensions and brow grooming, giving you that coveted “woke up like this” look. But what exactly are these treatments, why are they so popular, and why should you choose Queen B Luxury Nail and Beauty Lounge for your next appointment?
What Is a Lash Lift?
A lash lift is essentially a perm for your eyelashes. Using a specially formulated solution, your natural lashes are lifted and curled from the root, giving them a longer, fuller appearance. Unlike lash extensions, a lash lift enhances what you already have, offering a more natural look. At Queen B, we use the industry-leading, award-winning Lash Bomb products, which are renowned for their gentle yet effective formulations, ensuring that your lashes are beautifully lifted without damage.
What Is Brow Lamination?
A brow lamination is a game-changer for those seeking fuller, more defined brows. This treatment involves restructuring the brow hairs to keep them in your desired shape. Whether you want to achieve that trendy, feathered brow look or simply need to tame unruly hairs, brow lamination is the answer. The process uses a similar technique to a lash lift, setting your brow hairs into place for a polished, groomed finish that lasts.
Why Are These Treatments So Popular?
The beauty of lash lifts and brow laminations lies in their simplicity and effectiveness. These treatments deliver immediate results with minimal upkeep, making them ideal for busy lifestyles. With a lash lift, you can say goodbye to your eyelash curler and mascara, while brow lamination eliminates the need for daily brow shaping and grooming. The result? A naturally enhanced appearance that’s ready to go as soon as you wake up.
How Do Lash Lifts and Brow Laminations Work?
Both treatments start with a consultation to determine the best look for you. During a lash lift, your lashes are gently adhered to a silicone rod before the Lash Bomb lifting solution is applied. This solution softens the bonds of your lashes, allowing them to be reshaped. After the lifting solution, a setting lotion is used to lock in the new shape, followed by a nourishing oil to condition and hydrate your lashes.
For brow lamination, your brows are brushed into your desired shape before the laminating solution is applied. This solution sets the brow hairs in place, giving them a fuller and more defined look. After the treatment, a nourishing serum is applied to keep your brows healthy and shiny.
How Long Do They Last?
A lash lift can last anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle and how well you follow the aftercare instructions. Brow lamination typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks, after which you may want to book in for a touch-up to maintain your perfect brows.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
When you arrive at Queen B Luxury Nail and Beauty Lounge, you’ll be greeted by our friendly and professional team. - Avoid Eye Makeup: On the day of your appointment, please arrive clean, makeup-free eyes and brows.
- Skip Waterproof Products: Refrain from using waterproof mascara or brow gels a few days before, as these can leave a residue that may affect the treatment.
- Don’t Curl Your Lashes: Avoid using a lash curler before your appointment, as it can make it harder to achieve a good lift.
- Contact Lenses: If you wear contact lenses please remove them before your treatment begins.
- For best results, please grow your eyebrow hairs and avoid threading/waxing/plucking/trimming for up to 4 weeks prior.
- Avoid using exfoliating (be it AHA, BHA or scrubs) and anti-ageing skincare around the brow area for three days either side of your treatment – This includes Retinol, Retin-A.
- Avoid fake tanning products (including gradual tan) on the face for three days either side of your treatment, as it can discolour the eyebrow tint.
Aftercare Tips
To maintain your gorgeous new look, follow these aftercare tips:
- Avoid Water and Steam: For the first 24 hours after your treatment, avoid getting your lashes or brows wet to allow the products to fully set. (This includes swimming or using a sauna)
- Be Gentle: Don’t rub or pull at your lashes or brows.
- Use a Conditioning Serum: Keep your lashes and brows nourished by applying a conditioning serum daily. We love the Brow and Lash Toxx!
- Do not apply make-up or receive any other eye treatments for 24-48 hours after your treatment.
- Try to avoid putting contact lenses back in for 24-48 hours
- Avoid exfoliating and anti-ageing skincare 72 hours after your treatment.
- If possible, try to sleep on your back for up to 2 days after treatment to prevent the lashes being squashed by the pillow.
- If any stinging or swelling occurs, keep applying a cold dampened cotton pad, cold compress or cooling spray to soothe, if it persists please call the salon.
Who Are These Treatments Not Suitable For?
While lash lifts and brow laminations are suitable for most people, there are some exceptions. If you have extremely sensitive skin, eye infections, or certain medical conditions affecting the eye area, these treatments may not be recommended. It’s important to discuss any concerns with your technician during your consultation. We will not be able to perform this treatment if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
