Female Waxing in Croydon at Queen B
Every waxing appointment at Queen B begins with a consultation. - Consultation-led approach tailored to your skin and hair growth
- Private treatment room for every appointment
- Perron Rigot professional wax for precise, comfortable results
- No double-dipping, fresh spatulas and gloves for all treatments
From brows and underarms to Brazilian, Hollywood and full body waxing, nothing is rushed. Whether you call it female waxing or women’s waxing, the standard is the same. New to waxing? We explain what to expect, how to prepare and what is best to book if you are unsure.
Please allow at least 3 weeks’ regrowth after shaving before booking. Hair that is too short will not remove cleanly and can compromise the finish.

Why we use Perron Rigot
Perron Rigot is a premium French wax manufacturer established in 1936, renowned for creating the first low-temperature, non-strip hard wax. Their formulations grip the hair without pulling the skin, which reduces discomfort and gives a cleaner finish, especially on sensitive areas. We use their full range — hot wax for intimate and facial treatments where precision matters, and strip wax for larger body areas where speed and coverage are needed. The wax we choose depends on the area being treated, your skin type and the condition of the hair.

Female waxing FAQs
What is the difference between a Basic Bikini, G-String Bikini, Brazilian and Hollywood?
Basic Bikini removes the hair visible outside standard underwear. G-String Bikini goes further in and reduces the strip. Brazilian removes most hair but leaves a strip or triangle at the front. Hollywood removes all hair from front to back.
How often should I get waxed?
Most guests book every 4–6 weeks for consistent results. Regular waxing weakens the hair follicle over time, meaning regrowth becomes finer and sparser with each appointment. Your therapist will advise on the best interval for your hair growth cycle.
How long do waxing results last?
Results typically last 3–6 weeks depending on the area and your individual hair growth cycle. With regular appointments the hair-free period tends to extend as regrowth becomes finer.
How long should my hair be before waxing?
Hair should be around 6–7 mm long, which is usually about 3 weeks of growth after shaving. If hair is too short the wax cannot grip properly and the result will be patchy.
Does female waxing hurt?
There is brief discomfort when the wax is removed, but proper technique and the right wax make a significant difference. Most guests find it more manageable than expected, especially with regular appointments.
Do you use hot wax or strip wax?
Both. We use Perron Rigot hot wax for intimate and facial treatments where precision and comfort matter most, and strip wax for larger body areas such as legs, arms and back. The wax type is selected based on the area, your skin and the condition of the hair.
Is waxing better than laser hair removal?
They serve different purposes. Waxing gives immediate results in a single appointment and works on all hair colours and skin types. Laser targets the follicle for long-term reduction but requires multiple sessions, works best on darker hair and involves a higher upfront cost. Many guests use waxing as their primary method and some combine both approaches for different areas.
Which full body option should I book?
Book Full Body Wax if you want body coverage without the face. Book Full Body Wax + Face if you want everything included. In both services, your intimate style is confirmed during consultation.
Can I combine treatments in one appointment?
Yes. Many guests combine intimate waxing with legs or underarms. That is why we offer packages such as Intimate + Full Legs and Intimate + Full Legs + Underarms.
Can I have intimate waxing during my period?
Yes. For intimate waxing, wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. If you are unsure, ask before your appointment.
Can I wax during pregnancy?
Yes. We regularly carry out pregnancy waxing and adjust positioning, pace and aftercare for comfort. Please let us know before treatment begins.
What should I avoid after waxing?
Avoid gym sessions, swimming, saunas, hot baths, steam and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Gentle exfoliation from day three onwards helps reduce ingrown hairs.
Can I have waxing if I use retinoids or acne medication?
Please tell us before treatment begins. Some topical retinoids and oral medications such as isotretinoin can thin or sensitise the skin to the point where waxing may cause lifting or damage. In those cases we will postpone the treatment and advise when it is safe to rebook.
When should I avoid waxing?
We cannot wax over active sunburn, open cuts, rashes, cold sores, herpes outbreaks, UTI or thrush symptoms, sexually transmitted infections, broken or infected skin, recent peels or laser on the area, or if you are using certain medications that make the skin unsafe to wax.
