We are Covid Secure

Safety, hygiene and being Covid Secure

UPDATED

Nearly 10 months since the last lockdown and restrictions have all finally lifted.
Our safety protocols have not relaxed though, our team still change gloves and masks between guests and for the time being. we are continuing to ask guests to wear face masks. The reasoning behind this is due to the distance between the guest and the therapist in every treatment.
It is very close and therefore, for the time being, we appreciate your understanding.

We have worked tirelessly to provide a safe environment for both our guests and our team however in order for us to remain open and Covid Secure, it is imperative that our salon protocols are followed.

Salon hygiene has always been paramount at Queen B and our protocols are being reviewed constantly.

Why did we invest in an Autoclave?

As a salon that cares about its hygiene protocols, we knew that in order to ensure all of our metal tools were properly sterilised, an autoclave was the only choice.

Widely used in hospitals and dentist surgeries, the cost implications of an autoclave make it a challenge for salons to purchase. We chose the Enbio Autoclave because not only is it compact enough for the space we have, it is also Class B.

Class B autoclaves are the most advanced steam sterilisers. They also meet all the sanitary-epidemiological requirements.
It is the most effective modern technique of  sterilisation of all types of tools. This means all metal tools are properly sterilised.
Your therapist will open your tools in front of you at the beginning of your service. This means they have been sterilised and will be used only on you.
Once they have been used, the tools go into a sealed box and are cleaned and then bagged once again and then sterilised ready for the next guest.

All non metal tools are single use only, this includes our files, buffers, orange wood sticks and foils, in fact you can even take them home with you if you wish.

What to expect at your visit to Queen B

A visit to Queen B is an experience and we still deliver the same experience that we are known for.
Once you have booked your appointment, you will be sent, by email, a consultation for you to complete, confirming you have no symptoms as well as other important questions that will help us to ensure your treatment is the best it can be.

We ask all guests to arrive on time for their appointment, arriving early may mean you will need to wait outside until your therapist is ready for you and of course, arriving late means we may not be able to complete your service. Upon arrival, you will need to be wearing a face covering and providing the reception area is free, the door will be opened and you will be asked to wash your hands properly. Your therapist will then begin your treatment.

We ask that you do not bring any guests with you that are not having a treatment as they will not be allowed in the salon, sadly this does include children too and that you keep baggage to a minimum.

Beverages will not be served however you are welcome to bring bottled drinks with you.
Rest assured, all towels and bedding are still washed after each use at a high temperature and fresh bedding, towels and tools are used for each guest.
If you have booked a wax appointment, all spatulas are disposed of after each dip, we do not double dip.

Queen B Covid Secure

Even though restrictions have been lifted and in order to protect everyone within the salon, we are asking all staff and clients to please stay at home if you are showing any signs of being unwell.

We would rather cancel your appointment than take the risk that you may have the virus that could be passed on to others.

  1. Have you had the recent onset of a new continuous cough?
  2. Do you have a high temperature?
  3. Have you noticed a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions, it is essential that you notify us as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please call the salon to speak to one of the team 020 3441 7172
